Subject:Crazy For You -- Jennifer Crusie

Hi! I'm new to this community, and I decided to post one of my favorite quotes:

"'For the past two weeks, I've waited, and I've watched you and I knew you'd come back to me because you belong to me. Every guy thinks that about the woman he loves... Look I know it's not right, but that's the way it is. I watch you walk across the stage, and I look at your butt and I think, That's mine. I watch you stretch up to take a paint can from Thea and you shirt gapes open and I think, That's mine. I listen to your voice and your laugh and I watch you eyes and your mouth and I think, That's mine. Even when you were saying no, you were mine. It doesn't go away. You can't talk me out of that. Every move you make belongs to me. I know it's wrong, and I don't care.'"
        - Nick to Quinn in Jennifer Crusie's
Crazy For You

Hope you enjoyed it (I can see how you might think Nick's a creepy obsessed guy, but I like the possessive nature), and for those of you who haven't read the book, it's really cute :]

Bloody hell, that's hot! =p This is one of my mom's favourite books and she lent it to me last year, but I haven't gotten a chance to read it yet. I think it just moved up on my "to be read" pile. ^_~

Aww--just aww! And what I really think this proves is that the backlash against including the male POV in romance novels is completely ridiculous. All this trash about knowing the male's POV making him less mysterious and macho is stupid in my opinion. It makes the male lead more vulnerable and attractive, in my opinion. ^^

Haha...thanks! Yeah, I love the possessiveness. The whole "That's mine" was really hot. Tell me what you think of the book after you read it! It's not too long, maybe just over 100 pages?

And I don't think I've ever read a romance novel that doesn't include the male POV. It would make the book REALLY one-sided. And understanding the hero does, as you said, make him more understandable. Otherwise, he'd be doing things and we'd just have to guess what he was thinking. As women, we do enough of that in real life with men without having to do that in books too!

That sent a shiver down my spine - very hot :)

I'm definitely moving that book up my need-to-read list.
